Steven Doermer, DPT, Owner

Dr. Steven Doermer is the owner of Grand Island BodyWorks Physical Therapy and Niagara Physical Therapy in Lewiston. Steve graduated in 2013 from Daemen College with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He was hired at Niagara Physical Therapy where he started his career as a therapist before eventually becoming the owner of the clinic.
Born and raised on Grand Island, Steve has always had a passion for sports and athletics. It is through these experiences that he learned about the important services that Physical Therapists provide, sparking his interest in pursuing PT as a career.
In the clinic, he enjoys supporting the therapy team to create the best environment for patients to achieve their rehab goals and return to the lives they want to live.
Steve currently resides on Grand Island with his wife and their two kids. He enjoys golfing, traveling, supporting our local Buffalo sports teams, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Julianna Herrmann graduated from D’Youville University in 2022 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy

degree and currently works at Niagara Physical Therapy as an outpatient clinician. She is now also certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation & Concussions (AIB-VRC). 

Julianna has played ice hockey at the Division I collegiate level at Ohio State before playing professionally for the Buffalo Beauts. She continues to be involved in hockey by teaching the game to various ages. 

She loves treating the variety of patients seen in orthopedic setting and getting each one back to their desired goals. Outside of work, she loves being active with her husband, family, and dog.

Carol Conibear, Office Manager

Michael is a Physical Therapist Assistant at Niagara Physical Therapy and has been part of the team since 2019. He earned his Associate of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Niagara Community College in 2017 and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Utica University in 2026. 

As a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist, he has a strong interest in helping patients improve their balance, mobility, and overall safety. He enjoys building relationships with patients and helping them regain confidence, independence, and the ability to return to the activities they enjoy.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through recreational sports such as golf and disc golf. He also enjoys fishing and is a big football fan.

Carol Conibear has been the dedicated office manager at Niagara Physical Therapy for 10+ years.

Her exceptional organizational skills and ability to connect with patients are a definite plus in helping her with overseeing the daily operations of Niagara Physical Therapy, ensuring a smooth workflow and creating a welcoming environment for patients. And she takes pride in her ability to manage staff,

handle patient inquiries, and coordinate schedules efficiently.

Outside of work, Carol enjoys spending quality time with her family and four rescue dogs. Her commitment to both her professional and personal lives exemplifies her belief in promoting wellness and supportive care.

Deion Brown, PTA

Deion Brown is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who works at both our locations, Grand Island BodyWorks and Niagara Physical Therapy. He earned his Associate's degree from Niagara County Community College in 2021 and has been practicing in the orthopedic setting since graduation.
Deion enjoys working with post-operative patients, especially those recovering from ACL surgery. He is passionate about helping patients regain strength, stability, and confidence as they return to the activities they love.
Born and raised in Buffalo, Deion lives with his girlfriend and their two sons. Outside the clinic, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, and spending quality time with his family.
